An EGG!!!

Now this may not rock your world, BUT it sure does mine!!!  I am to mooshy food!!! It really tastes like something! I am happy... down 22# plus the 20 had to loose prior to surgery :) Now have to get some more exercise or let's be honest..and START to exercise..
Roads to Bend were dicey this morning but by 11am they were bare, wet but bare. Don't think in this area at least they did not get as much snow as predicted...

Snow House

 Had to show 1st picture of the house in the snow! Take note... I shoveled the snow pathway to the paper box, got exercise and  survived, I AM getting much better!
Supposed to get more tonight, hmmm, just how many times do i have to do this??

Just a Day

Had a tinsy bit of snow on the ground this morning, temps are really cold.
Am feeling better and better every day. Can't wait for my Wed appt to get some 'mooshy' food -everything blended and no longer need just liquids. REALLY looking forward to that.

Nothing else going on. Taxes are at tax person place.
Oh, 'exercised' myself today as the toilet plugged and had to take care of that, Plunging was a little hard, then that lead to cleaning the bathroom, yadda, yadda..

Just Wanted U to Know...

The mountains were gorgeous today!!! BUT u will just have to take my word for it as i forgot the camera!!!  Could not believe it! The light was wonderful at 4p then at 5:30p (it is still light but sun is down, just barely behind them) it was truly wonderful, i was there.... late sunlight coating the tips and clouds around them. Light filtered from behind one to touch another with that line of shadow, New snow.... each stood out on its own in splendor...

Mary's Daisies

 Friend Mary, who used to be my boss, years ago :) Brought these to me LAST Tuesday and they are still going strong. Aren't they beautiful??
Have really enjoyed looking at them, have them right in front of, below the TV, SO see them ALL the time!!  :)

New Life..

Well, this morning i awoke and WOW, i feel much better! Things appear to be moving back into place and i actually feel GOOD. Not the debilitating weariness and soreness. May even try a little walk. Have a support group meeting tonight. May even try getting taxes together :) Now, that is a stretch....
Also appears i fixed my word verification, or rather effectively did away with it!! I had no idea it was on there. Who goes thru those weird things anyway? Unless they need to or are looking for something. Thanx to 'Jim and Sandie' for telling me! AND to 'Rick's' blog for the 'how to' . Maybe someone can tell me how to highlite or make a link of other people's blog's when i am writing about them in my blog???? Does that make sense? I am sure it does :)

It came to my attention that word verification was on for comments, i think after going to "Rick & Paulette" that i have it off, so please let me know if that is, in fact, the case. Thankx All!!!

"Dixie"

Got this pillow for Brian, due to Carl of course, in LeClaire, Iowa. On one of my trips back to visit friend  Carol. At a speciality pet store (wish i remember the name or it to give them a shout out) The lady made the pillows based on her 'dog' friends. (it was one of those 'had to have' purchases, even tho heinously expensive, i must have been in my right mind at the time) Dixie was her bulldog, a huge brown and white one, with these colorings. Liked it because she had one brown ear and one white one, just like Carl.  She also drug her toenails across the wood flooring when she walked, as if life was too hard to walk through :)

All well here......

Update

Had my 1st post op appt today, doctor was pleased.  Appear to be healing well. I lost 8#!! Keep on drinking the protein, keep on with the water, start walking. That is about it.
I did make an error in what i am in-taking tho, thought i could only have 1 oz per meal due to the size of the stomach pouch, BUT i am supposed to be taking 4 oz!! it goes in and out, a person will start to feel full. I was starting to feel a tinge of hunger, heaven forbid and was really tired and no energy, now that things are straightened out life should start looking up a little.  I do that quite often, am so sure of the directions and need to read them and re-read them to make sure, not just assume that i KNOW about things :)  My friends will agree with this assessment of myself i am sure as we have all run into it at various points in our relationships :)....HA!!!!

Feeling Better

Things seem to be 'moving' today so i feel much better.  Thought i was going to have to call the doctor! Which is something i never do... Maybe this is a turning point.  Can now lie on either side too, which is sooo good. It is darn hard to lie/lay in one position ALL the time, my back was killing me. Doesn't this sound like a big complaint? It is not. Mixed one half the chocolate (Bariatric Advantage powdered mix), 1/4 vanilla & 1/4 banana that some one gave me and it is ok, all chocolate was a bit much, even for me :)
No longer feel as if my insides are sliding out my who-who every time i stand up!! which is a really good feeling. So all in all it is starting out a good day. Even going for a pedicure later :)
Life is good!!!!

Feeling

Feeling sore and tender.  Did go outside and pick up poop, lots of bending over :) Trying to do all the normal things i do, but without lifting anything bigger than a milk jug. Watching American Pickers today. Don't seem to have the attention span to read.
So sorry about Whitney Houston, LOVED "the Bodyguard" seems fame is certainly a double edged sword for some people, very hard to manage.  Just hate to loose all of that talent.

My lovely niece, JeriMay brought me some tulips that are starting to bud, it is fun watching them daily, and Brother Jerry stopped by between trips to the woods. He said he just had to see if i was still here... :)  It was very nice!
Have been getting my protein down and water, water, water.  Have NOT lost any weight, really!!! My nurse friend says it is all the IV liquid they pumped into me, well wish it would go somewhere except here!!

Survived

Thank You all for your prayers and thoughts during this period of my life. Had the Roun- L -Y at 10:45a and came home this morning. Everyone at the hospital has been really kind and positive. They really WANT people to be successful in this journey. After the 2nd day i started itching like crazy,  they thought it was the pain meds so got liquid Vicaden, ooo that makes  a person feel really good, too good, am going to have to watch that!! :) Am already off the clear diet and into pourable food, anything u can pour BUT no carbonation, caffeine, liquor, or sugar and then only 2 oz sip, sip, sip, move, move, move, rest. rest rest.
I had really GREAT care from ALL the nurses at St. Charles Medical Center, not a surly one in the bunch and then had my sister of the heart Janmarie who came from McMinnville, letting her law practice sit for 2 weeks to be at my beck and call when i need even the smallest thing. :) which i am trying NOT to take advantage of, hahahaha
Had many well wishers coming to visit which was nice they cared, it was rather humbling.
This is a journey and i have had a great tool given to me, and i am going to work it!!!  Just have to get thru these 1st couple of weeks of healing, then go for it~~~~ and be able to do all the things i want to do,
Get certified scuba diving
Ride a donkey down the Grand Canyon
Be able to buy clothing in a 'regular' store or even vintage clothing :)
Hike mountains here in Central Oregon
Feel comfortable wearing a swim suit on a beach, anywhere
Go on a zip-line
Have a larger than life personality, but not take up much space

Prep

Well, think i have gotten thru the worst part of the "prep" part.  There is something to be said for feeling all 'clean' inside and out!!  :)

Frozen Fog

 We had frozen fog this morning and i took the back way, old highway to Bend.  I often do this as there is less traffic, less hectic. You can see the countryside.

Almost makes the landscape look black and white.
 It is an inversion layer or something that causes it. And it is bitterly cold out until the sun comes out. Then the frost doesn't last too very long :)

Stamp Club

 We always have a great time!  Just talked and talked and played around with the stamps, inks, die cuts. Made three cards.

This is the card i made and introduced to everyone.  Brought materials for all to use.  We share alot.

These are new stamps in the Spring Mini-Catalog from Stampin' Up (on top)  the bottom is a new punch called blossom punch..  I am getting this set this time, Can't wait to make some neat cards with it.

Getting Ready

Just spending my time getting ready to be laid up. Getting all the medication, special food, vitamins and liquids in order and ready so there are no emergencies. Been a couple days working with the regular doctor to get my meds in order, one was timed release and can't take those anymore, as they don't want medications lying in the new pouch/stomach. Why can't they just respond to the 1st message, call made, why do you have to make at least two calls? Then the pharmacy won't do anything until doctor sends in the order, geez.  Just seems to take forever.  Will spend Friday cleaning house and washing clothes and bedding.  Tomorrow is Stamp Club.  Still have to get a card ready to share for that. Weather is taking a cold turn once again. But we have been having some unseasonably nice weather here in Central Oregon!
