Writing

This is friend Patrick, he and Janmarie are writing a BOOK! Don't they look so serious? My goodness!! It is a funny book too! Well as funny as you can make crime, she says that you can't make up these stories, Having been a prosecutor and now a public defender, she has a wealth of material to draw on. What would they look like if it was a sad book?

Rain last night, sunny right now. Got up fairly early today, Janmarie still in bed, healing. Which is a good thing. Or maybe she is getting beauty sleep? Maybe i need to go check on her. We had a good day yesterday, her family was over celebrating her birthday. She won't tell us exactly WHICH birthday it is, so we just have to speculate!! that could be good or bad, hmmmmm.

How About this One??

I love these flowers, also in the neighbors yard! are they lilies, oh, i think an Iris! They are so wedding like and the color so vibrant.

Today there is sun. I have a BUNCH of chores to do. get meds at the other end of town, give Luci a bath. She is terrified of the neighbor, who is a REALLY nice woman, don't know what the problem is. Well, we had to be gone a goodly portion of yesterday and the neighbor came in to clean house while we were gone, yes, that is right, i don't have to clean house here :) and Luci pooped all over herself, with her tail clamped between her legs, as she was scared! so i have to get that all cleaned up today, she smells ghastly!!!! No, i DID clean her up, i know what you are all thinking, (I sleep with her) BUT obviously did not get her clean enough without doing a rigorous scrubbing, which she is then going to be madder than a hornet about..... so, no matter what i will not be able to win today! then have to do some work outside, clean up poop piles, my favorite chore, and some weeding, laundry, have a pedicure, get some more groceries, we are depleted. and have some recipes i want to try.

You know, things like that. I also have a couple people that i need to see while i am over her, in

'the Valley' that i normally don't get to see as i am on my way through or back. And never have time to stop for a visit, because when traveling i always feel as if i am on a time table to get somewhere. Which is sillier than anything, but that is the way i am, get that from my Father, i do believe.

Well, so, guess i better get at it, rather than sit here, altho it is a good thing to procrastinate!

Another Day

When you live in 'the Valley' where it rains all the time you get to have things like these, that the neighbor has in her yard. Aren't they beautiful??? Would LOVE to have this in my yard! They are soooo luscious.
Today we went to get hair done, got a great haircut. Lookin good, Janmarie got roots done, and weave blond strips, and a haircut, WOW.. it looks good, but took along time! She got a pedicure too, i got my feet soaked, apparently they forgot about me!!!! and then we had to be somewhere in 10 minutes!!!! said i would come back, but i won't...... Guess the most important one got hers done, ah, well..... hope y'all had a good day
we had some rain, just to keep my weather report up, i mean seems like all i do is report on weather :)

Day to Day

Not much going on guys, just healing. Walk the dogs. To WalGrens to get meds changed over and filled. Tomorrow is a BIG day getting hair cut and a pedicure, can hardly wait to get out and move about. got a 'tiny' bit lost while coming home from WalGrens, BUT can't get too lost in McMinnville :) It is not that big a place, just go in the direction that you think you should go and there you be!!! Looks like it will rain again today, has not for a period , that is such a change and relief! I really am a desert like person.

Heard the President on the oil spill this morning, RIGHT during 'The View", geez, i felt they should stop beating up on him and get back to the 'The View" BUT they never did, disappointed, but then i guess NOT as disappointed as the people living on the gulf coast. Hope they get that all cleared up by the time i am down there in November this year!!!! I am so looking forward to the beautiful beach and many shells to be found...

Went Well

the surgery went well and now the patient is sleeping, home, but sleeping ALL the time and snoring up a storm!!!! We have gone 36 hours with no rain and now all of that cotton stuff is blowing around and getting up your nose when you go outside, I think it comes off trees? Nice Spring weather. But boy was there RAIN before that, I forget how it can rain here "in the valley "as we call it on the 'other' side of the mountains. Miss my desert smells and dry feeling, BUT my hands are all nice and soft. Oh another good thing about the patient being home is now i only have to sleep with ONE dog!!! HA!!!! Stella is only 3 pounds, but she does generate alot of heat and you worry about rolling over on her, but she is pretty nimble :) and manages to stay out of the way. And, yes, i did manage to find my way from St Vincent Hospital in Beaverton to the house in McMinnville, although it was touch and go at one point

Goodness, it has been almost a week since i last wrote anything? This flower from Monterey, we don't have anything like this in Central Oregon! of course.

Things are just going along, my friend in MacMinnville has surgery Friday, so i am going over there Wednesday to help her after the surgery, Don't know for how long, depends on how long the doctor is 'in', oooo that does not sound good, she is having the surgery at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, what ever is wrong with her colon went way beyond the expertise of the local hospital. so everyone, say a short prayer for her recovery. Thank you.

Driving!

Here i am driving thru the Redwoods, on the narrow, windy roads, good experience for me tho!

Well, not right at this minute! Was waiting for them to get done with the ooing and ahing of the big trees and stumps and crawling all over everything they could get to~

Here we are in the Redwoods, JeriMay had never seen them, so took the loooong way home, right thru San Francisco, Jerry driving, don't think i could have done that, w/o taking out some cars or pedestrians!!!! the street to Golden Gate was so narrow, it sure seemed that way anyway when in a large RV!!! The trip was great, good family time and a learning experience for the RV. think we did pretty well, did not hit anything!!!
we got back Monday morning at 3am and today i went and cleaned things up and am doing a humongous wash!!!!
All is well, hope with y'all too!!!!

A Wedding!

It was a beautifuk wedding and beautiful bride!!!! we all had a good time. It was soooo windy down on the beach, the ceremony was held up in the trees, but it made for good pictures.

Imagines from Big Sur and Carmel. My niece and brother above. We are having such a good family time and i am learning about the RV. Got the propane started and even fixed eggs for everyone this morning. We drove and drove and took all kinds of pictures. We all got sunburned, found lots of different shells and some cool rocks from pebble beach. they have lots of pebbles there, i guess that is why the name.

we even have the awning out and it really shades the rv good and keeps it cool in here. going to have to learn how to do it by myself tho!!!

i got to be a passenger today! It was great!!!! we are in monterey, very windy and a chill in the air. We are having a great time!! Got to rent a Mercedes SUV!!! for a great deal, so we are tooling around town like kings!!

All Ready

Well, the Rv is all ready for the trip! Got gas today, 65 gals, wow!!!! and Propane so we will not freeze. Leaving Tuesday late at night and Brother Jerry is going to drive all night. Takes 10 hours from here to Big Sur! so will be there by noon to pick up the car rental. My brother, son and niece are traveling to another niece's wedding, It will be an adventure and make it a mini vacation, see the Monterey Aquarium and Carmel and Pebble Beach. The wedding is just a small part of the fun. I drove the RV today with the sister-in-law, long haul truck driver giving me tips and hints. Mainly to be looking all around and mind other drivers as they are not minding me. AND mind the tail swing!!!! she said i did very good, except for the time i was backing up at the propane place and did not look behind me, and could not get the locking gas cap off!!! Yeah for the gas attendant in Oregon!!!!!!
