Well, I got over the "mountain" ok and then the next day it SNOWED here, it was really beautiful and we did not have to go anywhere, so it was ok, we got about 4-6 inches of heavy, wet, glopy snow! the dogs would not go out. and I-5 was a parking lot, people just left their cars (news said there was like 200 cars, impeding traffic that people just walked off and left them, can't imagine doing that) and some people were stuck in traffic for 5 hours, can you imagine??? it was backed up for 25 miles!!!! so very glad we did not have to get anywhere.
Janmarie is doing really great, but yesterday she was in alot of pain and had to go to the hospital for ultra sound on her leg, they were afraid of blood clots, BUT all was well and she just got more heavy-duty pain pills. she is limping about, putting weight on it, it is hard for her to bend it tho and she needs a chauffer, it is her right leg and so she can't drive, i am here for the duration :)
That's ok, i have books, crocheting and some wool work to do, so i will not get bored and have plenty to do, and there is the doggies, going in and out and cleaning up after :), oh, no, yes, they make mistakes, the little one is only little tiny pencil droppings, so cute, ha!
Today we have rain, and that is luci's nemesis, she hates getting wet!!! we have already had one set to, on the need to go OUTSIDE!!!! oh, and need to do things for Janmarie too!!!!
It's New Years Eve!!! Hope you all have a Blessed New Year !!
Take Care and God Bless

A good time was had by all. We had a wonderful Christmas, Sister-in-law Rita made a Prime Rib, it was yummy, melt in your mouth. We (Brian, Jerry and me) decorated the Christmas tree. Brian and I slept in the motor home, had to have a kerosine heater tho as could not figure out the furnace/propane. Kept a window cracked and some air vents as afraid of some sort of poisoning :). Xmas day woke to frozen fog, so it was a white xmas, altho maybe not technically. Still have the frozen fog and i LOVE it, makes everything sort of special with a layer on it. and the juniper trees just POP in a picture. and no i just got up so have not gotten any pics yet!
Leaving tomorrow for McMinnville as my friend Janmarie had her knee surgery and i am called upon to help her schlep herself around.
Everyone have a great New Year's Eve!

ooooo, Russell did NOT win and he was ticked!!!! the little twit won. BUT he won Sprint's favorite player, and $100,000, that seemed to sooth his ego a bit! Don't they look so much different when they are cleaned up? And the 20th episode will be "Villians and Heros"!!!!! WHO will be on that???? Can't wait...
I know, I know, but I am a sucker for those reality shows....wonder what that says about my personality?

Survivor!!

Had dinner for friends tonight, it all came together good. The warm artichoke dip from "The Pioneer Woman Cooks" is to die for.. really, really.
Got clothes washed, sheets too!! Bed made and even shampooed Luci, she is pretty good, but it is not her favorite thing as she hates water. BUT we sit for 1/2 hour with a towel all wrapped around her and cuddle and she LOVES that!!! so i have a clean, clean bed all ready for me.
dishes all done, and i am all ensconced in my chair ready for Survivor, watched it all season and just loath Russell, but you kind of have to admire a class manipulator, how does he DO that?? i have not a clue, my mind does not work that way..
oh, one more thing, do you know that a can (14 oz) of artichoke hearts cost $3.19 and you need two cans!!! for the dip!!!! geez,
picture above is on Santiam Pass last week
take care all, have a good week and Blessed Christmas!

Beach Finds

Look!!!! What i found at the beach!!! Love to beachcomb! Found some sea glass, and lots of agates and the china hat shells. A Rock!!! that has a hole in it that a tealight would fit into! Such treasures! I could walk for hours and look and look. Lots of bending over.. :) Can't wait to get the RV moving and go to different places, different beaches and see what i can find. Have only been on the Pacific side, what does the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic have to offer? Have heard that the Atlantic has lots more sea glass and different colores other than green.
Had a very productive day yesterday, just putzed around, really, but got all my packing undone and put away, suitcases stored, Gifts wrapped/labeled, cleaned the kitchen/bathroom. Put away the wrapping things, rather than just leave them out, THAT is a step in the right direction. Went to Barnes and Noble, got "the Pioneer woman cooks" i love her website and am glad to have her recipes close at hand and the book is beautiful, had one of those 15% off coupons with my B&N discount was not too bad. Have not been on the Kindle alot lately, just seems easier to read books I have already and need to have them sitting around waiting for me, not the same as having them waiting in a que (how do you spell that word anyway?) altho when i am on it, i love it!
Finished my book, "New Moon" this morning, i am liking the vampire/Twilight books, which i find unusual as i could not get into Anne Rice at all. But now am looking forward to some light xmas reading. Like to read xmas stories this time of year. Should figure out how to put a thing up on the site so you all would know what i have read...would be interesting to see in for me too!
Well it is almost 1PM let's see what i can get done today, starting late aren't I?
Take care you all.................

Blue Skies

Home, home, home!!!
my friend's surgery was scheduled for the 22nd and i can't be away that long, have xmas to ready for and family to be with, so i could not stay for her, she has friends where she works, so has people to be with her, and family near and maybe i can get over there after the 25th.
things just did not fall into place as we wanted them to, and a storm is coming in tonight, so i needed to get over the mountain, the road was practically bare, so had a good trip home.
here are some great pics of the beach right when we got there, the bottom one was at sunrise and has a little 'glow' about it.
So, need to go unpack and get things put away, have a party/exchange to prepare for on Thursday. And Xmas in Culver!
Hope you all are having a Blessed Christmas with family and friends. May your New Year be filled with all you desire and Happiness & Peace surround you.

The Beach!!!

Hi!!! Everyone. Well, my friend was unable to have her knee replacement surgery as she had a minor infection, so we went to the beach instead!!! Lucky me!!! only about 42 miles from McMinnville to Lincoln city. we stayed at SurfTides and had a wonderful room, was a BIT cold when we got there and the heater was this small 12X5 inch wall thing, so the office gave us another as we whined pathetically. Then we just spent the time sleeping, reading, I walked the dogs on the beach, and let me say that the water would come up on the shore then FREEZE, I had never seen that before, it was really weird. 3rd day i found lots of agates, and found shells everyday, so i was pretty stoked about that, LOVE to find STUFF!!!! The small Stella was leary at 1st of going out with me and Luci, but then caught on and i think she really enjoyed it!!! Did her duty as expected, each and every time. There were also squid washed up, people i met on the walks said it had been on the news, they got in too close and the cold got them. THEN on the last day there were seals right out our unit, they were riding the waves and barking, it was neat to see. and there were about a dozen or more of them!!! We shopped at the Tangier Outlet Mall, and rode to see other parts of Lincoln City and ate at wonderful places, Pier 101 for seafood was excellent and we got a seat by the fire!!!
Have pics but did not bring my download equipment for this computer and they will have to wait. Getting close to Christmas guys, hope you are all well and prepared!!!
Take Care and God Bless
P.S. Waiting until Monday to see if she is rescheduled for the surgery on the 17th or 22nd, 17th i would stay for a couple days, but if the 22nd have to head home, so that i can get xmas together for all the family :)
