My son, Brian, and me at Thanksgiving. I DO have alot to be Thankful for. But 7 dogs was a bit much. The puppies were outside most of the time, and the tiny one in her cage and two others in a bedroom, they were NOT thankful, so that just left Luci and Carl, the English Bulldog, and that was managable, and the others 'visited' in shifts :)
We have LOTS of leftovers, even tho i tried to keep things down so we did not have TOO much food. And i sent lots home when they left.
But i think a good time was had by all, i know i had a good time with my family.
God Bless you one and all.

Things to be Thankful for!!!!

We were busily going about our chores and things to do b4 the Holiday and took friend downtown to get electrolysis , was waiting for her in the car, she got done and guess, the car would not start!!! We were in an easily accessible spot, thank heavens and got a jump from one of her friends, a lady in a pick-up had the cables and a man walking by with a latte helping with the positioning. We went right to Les Schwab and got a new battery!!! my car is only 3 years old and did not think that was long enough to worry about something like that but have 57,000 miles on it and i guess that is what counts. It forced us to slow down and talk a bit waiting for someone to show up to help tho!!! I was just thankful that someone was with me and i was not in the middle of Wyoming on the way to Iowa all by myself by the side of the road!!!!!
Niece JeriMay showed up, going to spend the night with us, so gotta go be an Aunt!!!

Hi All, here is my brother Jerry with his two new puppies, Dixie on the left and Keeper on the right. They are getting much bigger!!! and sooo playful. Also a pic of his chicken coop that he built. It is really cool! he just painted the whole thing green, has little boxes inside to roost in and branch to perch on, for them. the chickens will be happy
And my motorhome in it's "winter place" after we got it winterized. he is still going to build a place for it to be under a roof.
Then there is Mt Jefferson with it's new coat of snow. looks cold up there does it not???!!!
Mt Bachelor opened today, has about 3 ft of snow i think... and we had WIND today, only for a short time tho, but thought it was going to go on forever, it was so wild.

Well, the RV is being winterized and a back flow thing in the waterheater did not work, stuck open or some such thing, allowing all of the anti-freeze to pour out, so they have to pull the water heater to fix it, so that did not go as easy as i thought it would, but i took MORE notes and think i could do it next year! Which is a good thing.
What are these trees anyway? They sure have a lot of berries this year.
Also got the cardsrock for my xmas cards, so have to get that underway.
Luci is sacked out on her back beside me in "OUR" chair, her little legs twitching now and again and contented snores coming out of her.
We are watching DeDe's mom's dog "fergie" and she gets at my books, chewing the covers, so she is banned and i have to keep my bedroom door shut, which is turning out to be a good thing because it is quieter and cooler. Last night the wind came up and i slept to the music of the wind chimes, and it was so nice and cool, i slept really, really good!!!
Hope you are all well.. Take Care and God Bless

Back Home!!!

I love flowers and this was from last xmas! Just wanted a pic rather than just blathering on. I am back home, thank heavens, now i can get something done in prep for the holidays. after awhile, yes, a person does get tired of just sitting. Was cathching up on the many blogs i follow and there was this new site "Junk Camp" that was just wonderful!!! AND she had these different road trips they had taken to areas of the mid-west antiquing, which is a fun thing to do and both Carol H and Dede love to do this with me!!! So it was fun reading about someone else and their trips and what they saw. It was Great!!! Got to catch up with Daisy Cottage and the Pink House, Red Geranium, Blackberry Creek Home Arts. She is wonderful, recently lost her dear husband, which continues to be really sad, but she seems to be doing ok....
It is bitter cold out, but we have NO snow here and that is a good thing, while it was coming down in Sunriver area, had to top Lava Butte grade and come down this side b4 i ran out of it, so was good to be home.
Well, i am going to go clean the bathroom :) i have SUCH an exciting life!
Take Care and God Bless

HI! brought my housesitting dog into town with me, boy Luci is not happy with that!! Had to lift his butt into the back of my car, he is getting a little old and arthritic, and that was a comedy, but had to be here to get my windshield replaced in the car. That is done-looks great! He did it right in my garage. got my checkbook reconciled, mail gone through, laundry done, so it was a productive day. Oh, also got a Kindle problem taken care of. It was not downloading books i ordered!!! Wow, what good is it then? so after much looking about on Amazon, finally found a customer service numbe and they re-booted me and i am off and running again and can read to my heart's content. So i am a happy camper. weather is even decent.
All of our lovely leaves and colors are gone, just the bare, naked winter is here. Mt Bachelor (foreverafter known as Mt B) is opening the 21st of Nov, next saturday, everyone is happy. Timberline and Mt Hood Meadows opened this week after 3 ft of new snow, yes, 3ft, my goodness!!! Weathr has certainly been active hereabouts.
And Bless all Veterans tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all had a great day!

What is Up?

I am housesitting about 25 miles south of Bend in the Sunriver area, a golden retriever and a persian kitty. It is a very nice place, but rather isolated, the gentleman went elk hunting in Eastern Oregon with his son. Male bonding type thing. So here i am. Plan to work on some wool embroidery things, IF or When i get it done will send a pic to you. It is one of those penny things that is a dresser scarf. don't know how else to explain, but got it at one of my favorite stores that we found early in the Iowa trip. Just hope it does not snow up here, about 1000 ft higher than in Bend, and i would have to shovel snow, NOT my favorite thing to do. Also not on my computer so i can't send any pictures, not that there is anything that i have taken a picture of lately, BUT could send more of the motorhome :) It is at Jerry and Rita's house, waiting to be safely tucked in for the winter months, only 4 more months, then can get to the beach, the passes should be open, supposed to be snowing several feet up there this weekend. that limits the ability to get anywhere, as everywhere you want to go, to get out of Central Oregon you have to go over some sort of pass. But i can plan. I have joined RVW (rv'g women) and Good Sam, so expect to get magazines and wonderful things in the mail. and i ordered the Trailer/rv campground directory for the US and Canada, that should keep be busy, should get it about xmas time.
Hope you are all well
Take Care and God Bless

I should have something on here everyday. But nothing happens! I am waiting for the lady to get back from her vacation so I can go ahead with the Thelma thing, don't want to get furniture or anything until i KNOW for sure that she gets to go into that foster home, waiting until the 5th of Nov to start my housesitting stint, waiting to see if Janmarie is going to have knee surgery or not, waiting for Thanksgiving, waiting for Christmas. You would think i could DO something while waiting, yet, no.........waiting for the 10th when the people will be here to do the car windshield. Just waiting, waiting, waiting..
Teresa, the puppy is a red-blue heeler.
I hope you all are NOT waiting for something. Have a good day.
