Happy Halloween!!! this ghost & pumpkin thingy was at a friend's house, isn't it the cutest??? and got a good pic of the new snow on Three Sisters. AND brother Jerry and his wife Rita got TWO new puppies, Keeper and Dixie, two little girl cousins for Luci. She was NOT too thrilled and drooled the whole time :) she is so funny when she does that under stress, just ropes of it!!! We had a nice day with the Domino Ladies, had lunch at Boston's then to JoAn's house for a game of dominos. Got to see her darling grand-daughter in her horsey costume for Halloween, she made out big time with all the Ladies there!!!

Walk down our street in the Fall

Top Picture is our mailbox, the rest are just from the little neighborhood. Luci likes going for a walk in the leaves, she keeps thinking there is something there to eat! But, no, there isn't! It keeps her going. It was rather a grey day, a day for reflection and contemplation. No rain tho, although it did continue to threaten. Did a little yard work, a little house work. Watched some Lifetime romance, ahhhh.

The Motorhome

Here is a pic of the whole thing. Luci is NOT happy with the steps, notice her ears all laid back, a person has to PULL her towards them to even get hold of her to try to help her down. That is not fun, wonder if she will ever be happy. and riding in it is not her favorite thing either, too noisy/rattle for her, i think. Well hopefully with time she will think it is ok at the very least. We had it parked in the street in front of the house overnight and it took up the whole space, except for the driveway!!!! Bet the neighbors were glad when it was gone...

I am back

Hi All! yes, i am back home as of 7:30pm tonight. what a trip. I am driving the RV, it is not an easy task. Stayed last nite at Happy Times RV near Dunnigan, CA, north of Sacramento. It was a nice little place, got everything hooked up and the TV and air conditioner would not work, so had to call patient Dave. Who knew when you plugged in the voltage, that you had to flip the switch too!!!! Yes, apparently i AM that stupid. Here's your sign....... This morning i even dumped the black water, ick... and the grey, i know i am going to get a dread disease, BUT did not get anything on me!!! and have to REALLY pay attention to the swing of the ass end of the coach, it does not end behind my seat!!!! and gas- that is another story in itself... but i am not having to pay for motel's and i have all of my things with me, the bed is VERY comfortable :)

The trees changing color were wonderful in Weed, Ca in the Siskyou's. Weed has t-shirts that say i (heart) weed, ha-ha-ha

Here i am in Tehachapi!!!! with the motorhome, have not been out in it yet, but slept in it last night , very comfortable!!! Got here about midnight, it was a long drive, but we took turns and did not really get too tired but think it was because i was too excited... fun-fun, Luci does NOT like the steps.

On the way

Well, here i am home and nothing going on, really, so i have nothing to write about :)
I did go to stamp club and we had a wonderful Halloween luncheon put on by one of the ladies. Went to Madras to visit my aunt. think we are going to move her the Bend, so i can get to see her more easily and think she may do better in a foster home environment (for those of you that don't know me, i am her just about last relative and her guardian, she is 89 and has dementia) So am looking at homes and trying to get her a doctor.
We are also going to leave early tomorrow morning, on the way to Tehachapi, Calif to get my RV!! it is exciting and scary all at the same time, so many things i have to learn!!!
So wish me luck and pray for me, there must be a Saint or something for travelers, is it St Christopher???

A Day at the Faire

We have just a tiny bit of snow on the Three Sisters. Went to the Harvest Faire in Sisters today, It was good, lots of things, people and dogs!!! These three visitors (deer)were there for the apples. Loved the pottery in this one little shop. It was a beautiful Fall day, with lots of turning leaves and coolness in the air. It was good to be out and walking among other people.

I forgot, my ending mileage was 54280, so i put on 5818 miles, that must be a new record for me!! But we did use my car alot for moving things and our trip which was quite a ways really, to Chicago and then down to south-eastern Missouri in the Ozarks. and back up to Davenport. I am still recovering from the push home and fighting that wind all the way!
Got up at 3:30a this morning to get Aunt Jo to the airport, why do flights have to be soooo early in the morning? but at least her trip/vacation got started early and she was down in Southern Cal at a decent hour.
Our snow did set a 100 year record, WOW!!! is all i have to say, it was gone by the next day and now it is sunny, yet crisp, mostly all days. I have to get in the yard and do clean-up work, so it will be nice to have sun.
I have a 'follower' !!!!!!!!! Welcome Julie!!!, Can't believe someone would pick me up and then actually spend time to put down that she was following, what a nice thing, i am so honored. Am i interesting enough? My Aunt Ruth in Texas thinks so (but then you know, family), and visits me every morning, it makes me really think of things that might be good/interesting to put here. Hi!!! I love you!!!

Merry Winter

It is a good thing that i got home the day i did because this is what we woke up to this morning, 4" of snow!!!! on Oct 4th, can you believe it? Have the little stove going and am all bundled up and am sneezing like crazy!!!!! Got home at 8:30p last night, and it was good to be home, with all my stuff . little doggie was REALLY glad to see me, piddled all over the floor, i have learned to NOT pick her up, HA! that was a hard lesson to learn, believe me!
So, when this weather clears, as i am sure it is going to, have lots of work to do in the yard and getting things picked up off the summer deck, as it apparently is no longer summer out there. just hope i have some time to get in some more bulbs :(...

Traveling

snow on them thar hills in wyoming!!! in Rock Springs, WY tonight made it along way, even with all the horrid wind, hope to make it home tomorrow. this is all i saw all day today, oh and LOTS of antelope and trees already turned, rabbit brush is golden... and it was a bitter wind

Leaving Iowa

Got off at 9am, it was rainy and the leaves were turning, Pic of the Mississippi River, all grey and windswept, fought the wind and rain all the way past Lincoln, NB and am spending the night in my favorite place, Hampton Inn, LOVE their beds, have i mentioned that before? I am in York, NB, did not get very far into Nebraska, so tomorrow really have to push it and hope the wind calms down somewhat. I did stop in Walnut, Ia near Council Bluffs as it has many antique shops, we went there the 1st year out here and did not get to all of the shops, went to a huge barn like place and got a couple more plates for the RV. I am going for a 50's cottage feel, it is fun looking for things.
Let's see how far i get tomorrow???? :)
